Nature's Paperweights

Eric's classroom has shutters to let in the breeze. That mischievous breeze often scatters papers around the room furthering the general disarray. (Trust me, he needs no help there.) I collected these beautiful rocks and coral pieces from the seashore (and luckily my brother was along to tote my bag of rocks to the car! Merci mon frere!) Won't they make beautiful paper weights? I also kept one that reminded me of a giant's nose to use as a doorstop.

Do you have any found objects serving a purpose in your home? I'd love to hear all about it!

  1. I like to store my beach-combing booty in clear glass vases, they make beautiful little accent pieces, center pieces, book ends and what have you! What beautiful coral you are surrounded by, I can't wait to go beach-combing with you my dear!
